Description

(i dont own yugioh, nor do i own the picture in this. i did write this tho. lemme know what u think. John Raephen, Francis Deeprose, Warren Sims and Raeff Phuller all belong to me)

Ten years ago. A silver car pulled up to a green house. A tall man with a moustache opened the driver’s side door as a taller, blonde man stepped out of the passenger side. The man with the blonde hair looked at the other and told him to hurry. The mustached man nodded and walked up the path to the house. He stepped to the door, fumbled in his pocket for a second and pulled out a set of keys. He opened the door and stepped in. “Johnny! Johnny? Are you here son?” He called out as a small boy came running up to him grinning from ear to ear. “I have a few things for you, son.” The man stated as he handed the boy a blue and green duel disk. “I know how much you like Duel Monsters, so here is a special duel disk just for you, Johnny. Now take care of this, okay?” He asked, as the little boy held the heavy disk in his hands. “Now, I have one more thing for you,” He said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a string with a green gem attached. “Johnny, look at me. I don’t want you to ever take this off. Do you understand me? For no reason at all.” He stated as he pulled the string over the boy’s head. “Now, I have to go away for a long time okay, Johnny?” The man asked as the child looked up and started crying. He tucked the gem under the boy’s collar, hugged him and ruffled the boy’s hair. “I love you, Johnny.” He said as he turned around and walked back through the door.

He sat up fast, flinging his duel disk –which was on his chest– across the room. His breathing was ragged and his sweat was cold. John spun himself and sat on the edge of his bed. “Holy shit…” He said quietly under his breath. He rubbed his eyes with his hands and rubbed the back of his head. John stood up and walked to the other side of his room and knelt down to pick up the duel disk. There was a long crack down the middle. He stared at the disk. “Shit…” He turned it over and looked at the bottom as something fell out from the crack. He set the disk on his desk. He searched for what fell and found a Duel Monsters card. “What in the… Hey Francis wake up for a sec.” He said as he stood up.

Francis opened his eyes slowly and sat up. “Wha-whats up John?” He asked, yawning. John walked over to him and handed him the card. “What’s this…?” He asked holding it limply. “It’s a blank spell card. Where’d you get it?” He asked still looking at it.

“You know how I sleep with my disk on my chest right?” Francis nodded. “Well, I had a nightmare and sat up really fast when I woke up, and it flew across the room and broke, so I picked it up and this card fell out.” John explained as he took it back. Right as the paper of the card touched his skin, the gem hanging from his neck lit the room up.

Francis quickly covered his face, shielding himself from the immense light. “Turn it off, man!” He yelled, throwing the blanket over his head.

“I don’t how!” He said as he pulled the gem off his neck and threw it and the card on the bed. He quickly put his pillow over the gem. “Goddamn…” He started rubbing his eyes. “Sorry about that.” He pulled the pillow up slightly; the gem glowed dully, illuminating the card. The picture had changed, showing a green star. John picked it up. “The Seal of Orichalcos?” He asked, looking at Francis, who shrugged.

Francis looked at him. “What’s it do?” He asked, standing up. He walked over to John and took the card. “It doesn’t have an effect…” He stated, examining the card. “It doesn’t say anything…” He held card up and turned on a light. “The light doesn’t shine through like other cards.”

John reached over and took the card. “I wonder… Cover your eyes, Francis.” John ordered as he picked up the gem and touched it to the card. The rock lit up brighter then before, although the light did not hurt John’s eyes. Words started to slowly write themselves on the paper. They read: “This card may only be activated during the Main Phase 1. This card cannot be destroyed, except by the activation of another “Seal of Orichalcos.” As long as this card remains active, you may use your Spell and Trap card zones as Monster card zones. While this card is active, all monsters you control gain 500 ATK points.”

John continued staring at the card as a faint and familiar voice sounded in his head. “Good job, Son.” John looked up, and spun around the room looking for the source of the voice. There was nothing, but Francis frantically trying to hide his eyes. John slowly staggered over to the chair next to the desk and sat down in it, with his head in his hand; staring at the floor as the light from the gem suddenly died. He stayed that way until morning.

John slowly picked his head up from the desk as the Orichalcos card stuck to his forehead covering one of his eyes. He quickly pealed it from himself and put it with his Side Deck. He drudgingly dressed himself. “Francis, wake up.” He ordered without looking at him. “We have class soon.”

“Uggggg…. Do I have to go?” He asked sitting up. John slowly nodded. He picked up his duel disk and looked at it.

John sighed. “I have to take this to the Card Shop…. This’ll be two hundred points down the drain…” He walked to his bed and lifted up the mattress and took out the disk Kaiba Corporation sent him. He strapped it on and stepped out into the hall. “Hurry up, Francis! I’m heading to class.” He walked quickly out of the dorm building, and toward the Card Shop.

“And where exactly do you think you’re going Johnny boy?” A boy behind him asked. John turned around and looked at the source voice. The boy had light red hair while the tips were dyed dark blue. “Wow, looks like Daddy’s little boy figured out what he was supposed to do. Where’d your father hide the card?” He stated as he taunted John, with a sinister smile upon his lips. He laughed as he raised his left arm and turned on his personal duel disk. It was gold, with a small silver spike, extending off from each card port. A small green gem atop the deck port, flickering wildly.

He smiled again; a sharp toothed smile. “Your father was a pitiful man. He served the all powerful leader Dartz, and betrayed him.” He stated, slandering John’s father’s name. John’s eye started to twitch. “He betrayed our new world, and thanks to him, Yugi Motou, Seto Kaiba and Joey Wheeler, stopped our plans.” The boy looked at John. Stared at him. “Your entire family is pitiful.”

John’s eye twitched furiously as he pulled his deck out of his pocket. “John wait!” Francis yelled as he ran up. “Let me do this one, please. I just want to prove something to myself.” He stated as turned his disk on. “I won’t take no for an answer, John.” He demanded as John sighed and stepped back. Francis looked at the boy. “My name is Francis Deeprose. John is my friend, and I refuse to stand idly by and allow you to insult him and his family name. Whether or not your insults are true is irrelevant. Before we start, tell me your name.” He ordered.

“My name?” He asked as Francis nodded. “I’m Raeff Phuller. I’ll start off.” He stated as he drew his hand. “Hmmm… I guess I’ll have to set two face downs and call it a turn.” He said as the two cards materialized in front of him.

“My turn! And for my first move I’ll activate the Synchronized Realm, which means every time I Synchro Summon you’ll take 500 points of damage.” Francis said as the spell card appeared. “Next I’ll summon a very dear card to me, the Witch of the Black Forest, in attack mode.” He stated confidently as the witch materialized in front of him, with a shriek.

“Deeprose…Witch of the Black Forest…Don’t tell me your Alicia’s son?” Raeff said chuckling to himself. “I see that fate has intertwined all of our paths together. Oh that’s right we’re dueling. Continue.” He said, with a mocking tone in his voice.

“Fine, I will! Witch attack directly!” He said yelling and pointing towards Raeff. The witch screamed as she rose off the ground and flew towards Raeff and scratched him furiously. “I end my turn.” He stated with a smirk.

Slowly students started to pour out of the Yellow Dorm, as they noticed the duel. “Draw.” Raeff said calmly as he looked at the card. “I’ll summon the Zolga,” He stated as a monster with a slivery, metallic head, a single red eye and a purple cape appeared. “And you see, personally, I cannot stand your mother. So….Zolga attack and destroy the favorite card of Alicia Deeprose, the Witch of the Black Forest!” He ordered loudly as the monster leaned back and shot hundreds of thin hands from out underneath, and dragged the witch back under.

“Mother…” Francis said under his breath. “Although you destroyed a dear card to me, I must thank you for that.” He stated as Raeff looked back at him confused. “You see when the Witch is destroyed I’m allowed to take a monster with 1500 or less DEF and add it to my hand.” He said as he added the card to his hand. “Continue.” He said mocking Raeff.

Raeff narrowed his eyes as he looked at Francis. “You’re just like your mother; an annoying nuisance that must be dealt with harshly.” He smiling as he insulted the Deeprose name. Raeff turned around and looked at all the students watching. “Are all of you ready to see a card that hasn’t seen the light of day for almost ten years?” He asked them all as the Field Spell compartment slid out of his disk. “Now, Deeprose, I’ll activate,” He said as he brought his arms up into the air. “The Seal of Orichalcos!” He slapped the card into the disk, as a small green circle grew out of the ground between them growing in size until it encompassed them both, pushing John and the front row of students in the crowd back. Seconds after a green beam of light shot around on the ground beneath them, in the shape of a six pointed star. “Ya see, unfortunately the Seal’s true power only works when there is more then one shard of the Orichalcos Stone in the circle. You can’t leave the circle until the duel is over, but when the duel is over both players can.” Raeff stated, with a red shine in his eyes. “One more thing before I end my turn, I’ll activate the Wicked Breaking Flamberge – Baou and equip it to my Zolga. That’s all.”

M-my turn..” Francis stated, shakingly as he drew a card. “First off, I’ll activate Monster Reborn and special summon my Witch in DEF mode, next I’ll summon the Marauding Captain and use his Special Effect to summon another. And with that I’ll end.” Francis said still shaking slightly.

Raeff drew his card. “Now, I’ll summon the first of many of my main monsters, the Guardian Baou!” He stated loudly as a tall blue and purple monster appeared holding the same sword the Zolga held. “Oh and I forgot to mention, thanks to my seal, all my monsters gain 500 ATK. Now Baou attack and destroy that disgusting witch.” The monster rushed the witch and slashed the large sword, destroying her. “Go ahead and take your monster. I end.”

Francis drew his card and smiled. “I activate the Double Summon. It doesn’t really do much except allow me to normal summon a second time. So with my first summon, I’ll bring out the Frequency Magician.” He stated as a man in white robes appeared and Raeff chuckled quietly. “And for my second summon, I’ll bring out the Exiled Force,” He said as a small group of men appeared; their armor and swords clinking in faux anticipation. “But, I’ll activate they’re effect and tribute them to destroy one of your monsters, so…Boys go and destroy his Zolga. And just so you know, your Baou goes too, that’s the downside to all Guardians.” Francis laughed lightly to himself as the group of soldiers ran and cut down the Zolga. Next I’ll send all three of my monsters to the grave yard to Synchro Summon the Red Dragon Archfiend,” He said calmly as a massive black and red dragon appeared and roared. “And since I Synchro Summoned you take 500 points, but I’m still not done. I’ll activate the Heavy Storm to completely clear your field!” He yelled happily as a huge tornado wiped out Raeff’s face-downs.

Raeff started to laugh as the dust cleared showing the Seal still beneath them. “The Seal of Orichalcos cannot be destroyed except by activating another one.” Raeff stated as he laughed.

“That doesn’t matter, because my Dragon will attack you directly!” Francis said as the huge dragon reared and blew red hot flames at Raeff knocking him back into the wall of the circle and landing him on his knees. “Your turn Raeff.”

Raeff stood up and brushed himself off. He drew his card and laughed quietly. “I’ll activate the Swords of Revealing light…” He said quietly. “You can go.”

Francis held his hand over the deck port as he drew his next card. He smiled bigly. “Raeff this was a great duel, but it has to end. First I’ll summon the Junk Synchron,” He stated as the small orange warrior appeared. “I won’t however use his effect. Next I’ll use the Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your Swords. Now Junk Synchron attack his life points directly.” He ordered as the small orange warrior yanked its pull start and flew across the ground and punched Raeff hard. “If I did my math right, you should be at 100 points now. Dragon, attack Raeff directly and finish this duel!” He yelled as the huge dragon blasted Raeff a second time wiping out the last of his points. “You lose Raeff. Now tell me how you know my mother.” Francis demanded as Warren Sims edged his way through the crowd followed by his cronies.

Raeff stood up and smiled as the circle faded. “Your mommy’s one of us. Our leader convinced her that he could help build a new world for her baby boy to live in.” He said as snidely as possible. He looked over at John and smirked. “You’ll never guess who our leader is.” He said to Francis. “Well….It’s been a time and a half,” Raeff started as Warren backed out of the crowd, without being seen. “And I half to go.” He stated as he turned around and bowed to the crowd of students. He started running as fast as he could pushing his way through the crowd. Both John and Francis took off after him.

Raeff stopped running in front of them, as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, black ball. He looked at both of them and smiled. “Watch the magic.” He stated and crushed the ball in his bare hand as smoke flooded out of his palm and obscured him.

Raeff stopped running an hour later and rested against a tree in the forest. A man with dark-red hair stepped out from behind another tree. He looked at Raeff. “It’s been a long time Phuller.” He said.

“That it has Sims.” Raeff said sitting down and catching his breath.

“Where do I get one of those Ori-whats-its…” Warren asked Raeff.
